Day 1
Today started around 9am. Removing all the face plates, that were ALL painted down, took some time. We removed all the nails and screws left behind. Then we took the half-assed crown molding down. Half of it was styrofoam molding. ARGH!!! If you are going to put up crown molding, please make sure you buy the good wood stuff. We then took on painting our large living room with vaulted ceilings. We painted the ceiling white...not easy when we are both short and extension rod paint rollers don't help...and the 6ft ladder isn't tall enough to get you up to the top of the ceiling. After painting the ceiling, we tackled the walls. NO MORE UGLY GOLD!!!! The walls are a nice, fresh, Sahara Sand. Tomorrow we will paint the accent wall in the living room and the alcove above the bar, finish the entire living room, hallway, and the guest bedroom. We took pictures of the "BEFORE" this morning...but we're completely exhausted. Hoping to post some later this week.

Welcome!!
Hello Blog World!! Thank you for visiting our site. We are a mother/daughter team, painting and updating our new house, one room at a time. We will be posting pictures and DIY projects as we move along. In the first week of having our house, we plan on painting EVERY room. A daunting task, we know, but we are very excited to make it our own. Below is a picture of it. This will change, as we aren't fans of the bushes in the front yard. We are hoping to have "BEFORE" pictures up soon. Thank you for following us through this journey.
